Glossary
Brain Bleach: (noun) Brain Bleach is used to forget something you see in game. Kerravyn is the usual supplier of Brain Bleach, although others keep a stock on hand. Note: not a real item.
Cow (Cash Cow): (noun) A raidable (a.k.a. non-yarded) pirate with cargo in their hold, not banked.
Engines: One of the three stats. Used to determine who gets the first shot in battle. Also allows several bonuses, such as sneak attacks and extra hull.
Fishy: (noun)
- 1. Used by pirates to refer to raiders, specifically when leaving out cargo. ex. "Here fishy fishy fishy!"
- 2. Used by raiders to refer to pirates leaving out cargo for them to nibble on, mainly because it goes with the cow terminology and is fun to say. "Ooh, a fishy! nom nom nom"
Glomp: (verb) To run at someone, jump on them and hug them, with the intent of knocking them to the ground.
Malfunction: The chance that your weapons won't work in battle. Commonly referred to as 'malf'
Mercy Kill: Request to be sent to the Shipyard posted over the Shoutbox. Format: MK @ Jupiter.
Shields: One of the three stats. Affects how much damage you take from enemy attacks.
Turtle: (noun) A build with heavy shields, and high minimum damage, designed to wear enemies out with long battles.
Quack: See Mercy Kill.
Rogue: (noun) A ship build focused on weapons and engines. Meant to hit the enemy hard, and hit them with the first shot.
Weapons: One of the three stats. Affects how hard you hit the enemy.
Whinny: A message, sent from attacked to attacker, complaining about said attack, typically in an overly dramatic manner. The whinny is normally ineffective, and tends to result in more attacks.
